The Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting was held in the National Disaster Reduction Center of China (NDRCC) in the afternoon of December 15th, 2016. Mr. Pang Chenmin, Director General of Disaster Relief Department and NDRCC, Ministry of Civil Affairs of China (MCA), Dr. Yang Siquan, Chief Engineer of NDRCC, Ms. Li Luning, Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of China, Mr. James Carpy, Head of DFID China, Mr. Patrick Haverman, Deputy Country Director, UDNP China and Professor. Yang Saini, International Center Collaborative Research on DRR (ICC-DRR) from Beijing Normal University and other delegates attended the PSC meeting. 

   The PSC reviewed the progress reports and 2017 Annual Work Plan from UNDP, NDRCC and ICC-DRR respectively, and the Mid-term Review and 2016 Annual Review reports. Delegates exchanged views and expectations on the possibility of Phase II extension and the future direction of China-UK strategic partnership after the completion of CBDM Phase II. All parties expressed their willingness to work together to promote the successful implementation of CBDM Phase II, laying a solid foundation for the way forward of China-UK strategic cooperation.
